About Me
My background is in higher education, where I was around many people who were in a constant state of stress, struggling with self-doubt, sacrificing their personal lives, vulnerable to constant feedback and afraid to switch off. Consequently I trained as a therapist, so I could help people improve their emotional wellbeing and mental health through psychotherapeutic counselling.
I trained in London and I then worked for the NHS as a therapist and clinical assessor in a busy West London IAPT centre. As a therapist, I worked as with a variety of mental health issues and with adults of all age, gender, race, sexuality and socio-economic background. My role as a clinical assessor involved the triage of patients into appropriate NHS mental health care services. I now run my own private practice from Sheffield.
